The insurer issues a payout based on covered damages (minus deductible).

Once the claim is approved, repairs can begin.

How Much Will I Pay?
(The Deductible)
In Texas, homeowners are responsible for paying the deductible on all storm claims. This is the only amount you are required to pay out of pocket.
Your policy will state your deductible amount. It is typically calculated as either:
- A flat dollar amount (e.g., $2,500)
- Or a percentage of your Coverage A value
(e.g., 1% – 2% of your home's insured value)
